1. Who we are
WSSEL is a Haifa-based technology platform connecting customers, restaurants, and delivery partners. WSSEL is responsible for personal information processed through wssel.app and the WSSEL applications, except where a restaurant, courier, payment provider, or other partner acts independently under its own privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account and identity information, including name, phone number, email address, profile image, and verification status.
- Delivery information, including addresses, location, delivery notes, and order recipient details.
- Order and transaction information, including restaurants, items, amounts, discounts, payment status, refunds, and support history.
- Device and usage information, including app version, device type, language, IP address, crash records, and interaction logs.
- Restaurant and courier application information, including business, vehicle, identity, licensing, availability, and payout details where applicable.
- Information you submit through support, contact, career, restaurant, or courier application forms.
3. Location information
With device permission, WSSEL may process precise or approximate location to show nearby restaurants, confirm service availability, calculate delivery, provide navigation, assign couriers, display order progress, and protect against fraud. You can control location access in device settings, although some delivery features may then be unavailable.
4. How we use information
- Create and secure accounts, verify users, and provide requested services.
- Process, prepare, dispatch, deliver, support, cancel, and refund orders.
- Communicate service messages, verification codes, order updates, support responses, and—where permitted—offers.
- Personalize content, improve product performance, analyze service quality, and develop new features.
- Detect fraud, abuse, safety issues, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
- Meet tax, accounting, legal, regulatory, and dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Legal grounds
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we process information to perform a contract with you, take steps you request before entering a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and safety interests, or act with your consent. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
6. How information is shared
We share only what is reasonably needed with restaurants, delivery partners, payment processors, mapping and communications providers, hosting and analytics vendors, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required. For example, a restaurant receives order details and a courier receives information needed to complete delivery.
We do not sell personal information. Service providers are expected to use information only for agreed services and apply appropriate safeguards.
7. Payments
Card or digital-payment information may be collected directly by authorized payment providers. WSSEL may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, payment method, and limited billing information, but does not intentionally store full card numbers or security codes unless specifically disclosed and legally permitted.
8. Data retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, account administration, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax and accounting records, safety, and dispute handling. Retention periods vary by record type. Information is deleted, anonymized, or securely restricted when it is no longer required.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. You may also withdraw marketing consent and manage device permissions and notifications. To submit a privacy or account-deletion request, email cs@wssel.app. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, secure communications, monitoring, and operational procedures. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password, protect verification codes, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. International processing
Technology and service providers may process information in countries other than the one where it was collected. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards intended to protect information during cross-border processing.
12. Children
WSSEL is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to use the service. A minor may use WSSEL only with a parent or legal guardian’s permission and supervision. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization.
13. Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The latest version and effective date will remain publicly available on this page. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
